Georgia Tech has been the epicenter for criminal activity as of late,with 8 robberies,assaults, or murders in the area. But now things are getting even scarier with this recent event.

Good news,bad news.

Good news, most of the gun stores have ammo now. Bad news, a box of 50 rounds in .375 cost over $30 dollars now. Worst yet, if you are shopping for .380, them they are limiting you to two boxes at $21 dollars each.

This is the state of affairs with ammo now. I was going to try to get some .22 bulk packs, but there were none to be had. Kind of sucking out there for ammo right now, seeing it making shooting a more rare event for me.

I did find a military rescue strobe for $15 dollars though,which is a good buy. Been thinking about getting one for future hunting trips and camping outtings.

I've always know,but now have proof.

Even I, didn't much about this,but instead just bought a box of defensive ammo,usually the heaviest stuff I could find,thinking that a heavy slow bullet works best. Well,not always. Now I research it,matching the grain of bullet to the length of barrel to get the maximum effect in stopping the threat.

Well,in isolated cases anyhow, and after a horrid murder of two Mormons were brutally murdered by drug cartel members. Nevertheless, it has resulted in the Mexican government to arm citizens in the form of community policing, or what we, here in the states use to call militias.

Again,this shows that armed citizens are the best form of crime control,for an armed society is a peaceful one.

Georgians this road,seeing Georgia went down it with HB89 just over a year ago. We had restaurants like Taco Mac,who didn't want us to bring guns in there.

Window fixed.

Less than a week back I mentioned that my driver side window switch did not work,and had to order the part to fix it, well it came in today. It was an easy fix,and took all of about 5 minutes. I can not resume redneck A/C mode, which is 2/60 air. For those not familiar with this form of A/C, it is rolling down two windows and driving 60mph.

In my mad rush to get a can of Coke cold I tossed two of them in the freezer. Drinked one, forgot about the other resulting in my wife finding this mess in the freezer:





My wife was not amused to say the least, mostly because this hasn't been the first time this little incident has occurred.

Last night around 8pm the guy in the apartment below me started to play his music real loud,and with heavy base. Now,I no longer knock on doors to inform folks your damn music is loud,because you just never know who you are dealing with. I don't call the leasing office,because they are one step beyond useless.

So,I bang on the floor,to give them a clue. Granted,not the most mature action, or even effective, but it is the only recourse I have.

Well,the jackass, who by the way is a black guy about 50 or so, knocked on my door to ask,"why are banging on the floor". Guess he didn't get the clue. I told him that his music is loud, that is why.

His response, "Fuck you, whitey!".

Yep, didn't see that one coming, but should have.

I would have taken it a step further,but realize it was just not worth it,and the wife was now getting annoyed at me,more than the music downstairs. So,I just let it be. Which will probably be my course of action next time around, just letting it be. For when dealing with assholes that are bigger assholes than you, it is for the best.

Lesson still not learned.

Sgt. Norm Leong, Sacramento Police Department spokesman, said that he hasn't seen that. "I review all the dailies (daily crime reports), and I don't really see an upswing of gun violence. We've pretty much had a steady decline of all our crime," he said.

Sacramento County sheriff's spokesman Tim Curran agreed.

"We don't have a specific category for gun violence statistics, but violent crime is down," Curran said. "All assaults with a deadly weapon are down this year."

Yet, the liberal anti-gun groups still remain in denial;

"There hasn't been time yet to see if there is going to be a relationship between the recent increase in gun sales and a later increase in crime," said Wintemute. "Crime rates and gun sales go up and down together, but there's a lot of controversy about which is responsible for the other."

Don't like guns,then reclassify them.

David Codrea has a great article everybody should read who wants to preserve their gun rights.

Basically, New Zealand didn't like a certain type of weapon, because it looked menacing. So,they reclassified it,slapped a heavy fee to get the license for it,and demand to know all about that weapon.

However, the police say it isn't a gun registry, sort of like how Michigan's so-called "safety inspection" isn't a gun registry. You just gotta give them the serial number,make and model is all.
